Feedback

*Well done! I look forward to creating pictures on lucite for the traveling shows. I have a question??? How would 12 x 36 and 9 x 24 ....four each, fit with the new ideas? In other words cut each size in half width wise but the same length wise. Would that create a problem for shipping and showing and framing? Thank you so much for all of the new showing opportunities. I like the idea of having a few paintings with you, on hold for all of the shows. Good thinking.

*Thank you very much for your kind efforts and creative ideas
in leading the group.

*Hi! I think all of this sounds wonderful. I will start painting now!

*Thank you very much for your efforts in planning for quality IASG group exhibitions at respectable
sites. Your guidelines and suggestions are refreshing. You work hard and have invigorating ideas.
It is always difficult to lead, because as leaders, you will be working with a diverse group, although
collectively all are artists. Nevertheless, your good will is evident and will be fruitful at the end.

*Thank you for taking the time to think of new ways to expand IASG. However, I do not think you have the authority to require our artwork to meet any of these specifications. I think it is a well meaning but misconstrued idea.

*Hi Julian and Linda, your idea about standard frames sounds excellent. No doubt the details can be worked out later but I have some comments and questions. It seems ambiguous to say "each artist permitted at least two pieces of each size." This seems to allow for four pieces or could it be more than four. Also what about smaller frames. Places like Utrecht have stretched canvas of different sizes. Also what about watercolors that generally require plastic covering, mats and backing. Just some thoughts.

*Hey, Julian! This is great! What are you going to think of next? I'm really impressed with the energy and time you devote to giving such well-deserved value and prominence to your and other people's work all over planet earth. You're really in to one of life's joys: adventure and fulfillment as evidenced by the limitless boundaries which, under your leadership, you and this group are traversing. I've navigated the link and I must say everything I found there all adds up to an acknowledgment and enjoyment of one's sensitivity, promise, and potential. Everything is sacred, as all life is. Congratulations and more power to you and your group! -- Pio Acampado, Advertising Exec., J. Walter Thompson

An Invitation from the President and Executive Director and Call For Entries for the Miami Show in April

Julian Oteyza, President
Linda Pirrone, Executive Director

Julian and Linda invite you to join IASG and experience the joy of seeing the world through traveling exhibits.

The 300 membership of IASG keeps on growing and we hope it grows even bigger with your help.

We have a lot of exciting shows and related activities planned for 2006 to hopefully inspire and motivate you into creating your best artwork.

We look forward to meeting you in person and experience your energy and make belonging to an art group a fun thing to do instead of feeling like another group meeting that you have to attend.

Sincerely,

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

The International Artists Support Group is a non-profit arts organization composed of visual artists who have joined together in local chapters around the world to provide mutual support and to encourage the exchange of creative ideas and opportunities.

IASG holds meetings where, in an informal atmosphere, artists are able to get to know other artists and share information. Because the organization is an assembly of local chapters worldwide, members have the opportunity to network locally, nationally and internationally. Networking possibilities are facilitated through a monthly newsletter and an IASG website. The chapters are encouraged to sponsor shows, as well as alert other chapters of available exhibition opportunities. Education also plays an important role in the organization. Chapters host talks by local and visiting artists, sponsor gallery tours, and are committed to strengthening the role of the visual arts in their communities.
